The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier will reopen with social distancing restrictions in place on Saturday for people wanting to fish.
The pier, which closed in March, will be reopening Saturday from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, Escambia County announced in a press release Wednesday afternoon.
The pier will only be open for fishing, and will be marked with spaces 6 feet apart.
Pedestrians will not be allowed on to the pier.
Reopening the pier comes a day after the County Commission voted to reopen Pensacola Beach beginning Friday with the same hours with the restrictions that people must follow social distancing guidelines.
